There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Chippewa Campground is a brilliant location for that, and obviously, this is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes, Mud Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. Long Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the       summertime months here at Long Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Long Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Medford, Wi is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Long Lake has                  to offer, you can camp at Kathryn Lake Campground. A splendid location for whitewater paddling near Long Lake is Jump River - South Fork, and dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Thorp, Wi. Black River is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Long Lake; hiking along the Ice Age Trail is tremendous fun.
