After a long day outdoors Clarion Hotel and Convention Center is a fine spot to spend a night or two, and don't leave Long Lake without first going for a hike along the Grottos Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Long Lake. You'll meet a lot of people from Baraboo here. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater       of Wisconsin River, and swing by Black Earth Creek it's a fine place to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Really nice skiing awaits you at Devils Head, and Blue Mound State Park is a delightful local campground. Go for a hike on the Bluff Trail, and the sight of beautiful Twin Bluffs is great. For the period of the summertime here at Long Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days                  of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Long Lake drop into the 0's. Lakes are great; Fishers Lake is a lake that's close to Long Lake, and Cedarberry Inn is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. This is a glorious neighborhood for people who like lakes. Deacon Thomas Lake is a lake close at hand, and Cassell Prairie is a pretty place any time of year. From a rainfall point of view Long Lake is a reasonably typical location; throughout September this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up.
