You'll need more than a day to explore everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at West Bay Camping Resort. A normal amount of rain falls here at Long Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Long Lake. Lakes? Sure, Midget Lake is in the vicinity; Perch Lake is a pleasant lake nearby.       If you come at the right time of year, Wisconsin River offers some delightful whitewater, and Little George Creek is close to Long Lake and is always a delight to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Acres Resort is a splendid location to get some rest, and close to Long Lake you discover a golf course called Rhinelander Country club Professional. During the long summer days highs here at Long Lake get into the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's                  commonly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and night lows during the winter for Long Lake tend to be in the-10's. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Rhinelander is a glorious spot to spend a night or two.
