Long Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month. Not far from Long Lake, you'll come across Lake Buteau which is a pretty lake; Lookout Mountain is charming and can be seen from here. During the       summertime months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Long Lake; the night is rather chillier of course, usually in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Long Lake. There are other places here than Long Lake, for example Lake Mary, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Americas Best Value Inn / Rhinelander. This lake is so wonderful. Northforest Campgrounds is a good campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is                  not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Wisconsin River. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time.
