Long Lake is right by the Newman Springs Ski Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Long Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Long Lake temperatures drop to the-10's. Long Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rain; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest month is February. What       would winter be without some skiing at Big Powderhorn Mountain, and Comfort Inn Ironwood is a great place to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Gogebic Range. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wabasso Lake Campground is a good place for that; soar down the rapids of Black River in a kayak. Virgin Creek is a great location to go to, and Clear Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This                  lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at Big 6 RV Resort and Campground, and if you get bored of Long Lake you could also take a look at close by American Lake. The Gogebic Range scenery is always beautiful. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Gogebic Range will keep you coming back many times. Paddling on Turtle River is so much fun, and if you need a site to stay Americinn - Ironwood, Mi is a pleasant choice. Long Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise.
