There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stevens Lake Campground is a pleasant place for that, and Wolf Pond is a splendid lake nearby. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a nice choice, and the Eds Lake Trail System offers       hiking at its best. Summertime at Long Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's while Long Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Long Lake. The skiing at Ski Brule is wonderful, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Long Lake; Dendro Eco Trail is a great local trail.                  A day on the slopes of Brule Mountain is just what you need, and there's good hiking along the Lauterman Trail. Long Lake is a good site of typical rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
