Dry warm beds await you at Iron Inn Motel, and why not a little side trip to Coldwater Creek. Summertime highs at Long Lake usually tend to be in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Long Lake plunge into the 0's. Long Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month of August       is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Eds Lake Trail System. So much exciting stuff right next door to Long Lake, absolutely extraordinary. There's perfect hiking along the Lauterman Trail, and a lake close by is Beaver Pond. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Florence County Park Campground is a glorious                  place for that, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Popple River. Gotta ski! Ski Brule is a magnificent place to do that. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at Stevens Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Pine River offers some delightful whitewater; if you need a place to stay Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a tremendous choice.
