Camping is available at Ward's Flambeau Resort; a lake nearby is Nut Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Hay Meadow Trail; Long Lake is right by the Moonridge Trail. An average amount of rainfall falls at Long Lake; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are in fact       plentiful here at Long Lake. Here at Long Lake you'll probably meet some people from Eau Claire, and one of the dominant traits of the surroundings of Long Lake is Baldy Mountain. Summertime highs at Long Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's; the nighttime is a bit colder of course, commonly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; overnight lows in the-10's for Long Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Duncan Creek, and a glorious                  nearby hotel is Glen Loch Motel. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Chippewa River offers some pleasant whitewater, and Park Inn Chippewa Falls is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Camping at Brunet Island State Park is always a great experience, and Planning Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit.
