Be careful coming to Lone Star Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lone Star Lake; Markville Snowmobile Trail is a wonderful local trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Lower Tamarack River. There are other spots here than Lone Star Lake, for example Fremstadt Lake; an afternoon playing golf at Fox Run Golf Course       is always a bliss. Lone Star Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Hi-haven Resort is a tremendous place to camp nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Upper Tamarack River offers some great whitewater. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Northwoods Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lone Star Lake, you'll find Echo Lake which is a pretty lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary                  State Trail. Lone Star Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Log Cabin Hollow Resort is a delightful local campground, and after a long day outdoors Lodge at Crooked Lake is a perfect place to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Lone Star Lake through the days of summer are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's.
