Ski Brule is a very popular ski area close at hand, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Iron River, Mi. Lakes are good; Van Zile Lake is a lake that's near Little Van Zile Lake. At Little Van Zile Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in       temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Little Van Zile Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. Pine River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you can hit the slopes at Brule Mountain nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Florence County Park Campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Lauterman Trail, and since you                  might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Ross Lake. Little Van Zile Lake is right by the Eds Lake Trail System; camping at Big Joe Campground is always a brilliant experience. A common amount of rain falls here at Little Van Zile Lake; the month with most of the rain is August; February on the other hand is the driest. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the area next to Little Van Zile Lake has to offer.
