Why not stop by Little Round Lake if you're passing through these parts. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Christie Mountain, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Serley Camp Trail. During the warmest time of the year at Little Round Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 10's with temperatures at Little Round Lake dipping

| | down into the-10's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Dick-sy Manor. Lakes are delightful; Round Lake is a lake that's near Little Round Lake. There's so much to do here at Little Round Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Chippewa Campground is a delightful place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Hayward. River - West Fork, and if you need a site to stay Hayward Super 8 Motel is a tremendous choice. Little Round Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest
month. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Bigfish Golf Club, and don't forget to stop at Hinton Bay since you're here. This is a magnificent area for folks who like lakes. Squaw Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and
on a good day you can take a hike along the Pigeon Lake Trail. While you're here at Little Round Lake you can take a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Chippewa River offers some brilliant whitewater.

 | 18 miles away This river has nearly 70 miles of river that can be paddled. It goes all the way from the Hayward landing to the Riverside landing after it joins the St Croix River. This river could easily be made into a 3-4 night paddle. It has quite a few canoe campsites and also access to freshwater at several landings. Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail
 | 19 miles away 1 PHOTO The trail is called the Tuscobia State Trail. It runs 74 miles from Rice Lake to Park Falls, Wisconsin. The Trail crosses through Barron, Sawyer and Price Counties. This is a multi-use trail on the old railroad grade of the Omaha Railroad. There are lots of things to do and places to stop along the trail. There is now camping available at several points along the trail including Radisson, and Ojibwa. At Winter, the last remaining railroad depot, built in 1905, will be historically restored outside and inside, it will house a visitor center, there will be trailhead parking, historical displays, and picnic areas.
