     If the weather is tremendous here at Little Porcupine Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lauterman Trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Brule River. Throughout the days of summer at Little Porcupine Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Little  
   Porcupine Lake tend to be in the 0's. A common amount of rain falls here at Little Porcupine Lake; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. A lake nearby is Lauterman Lake, and a good close by hotel is Americinn - Iron River, Mi.
On a great day at Little Porcupine Lake you can take a hike along the Dendro Eco Trail, and if you came to camp Lauterman Lake Walk-In Campground is a pleasant site to do
 
               that. This lake is so wonderful. Pine River is a brilliant whitewater spot next to Little Porcupine Lake; camping at Chipmunk Rapids Campground is always a glorious experience. This lake is so wonderful.
Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Brule Mountain, and Little Porcupine Lake is a location with many visitors from Iron Mountain. This spot is so good, just check out all the exciting things to do near Little Porcupine Lake. Skiing at Ski Brule is one of those things you just should do; Mud Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore.

...ls area is its scenic beauty and heritage. The original emigrant settlers of the area during the middle 1800’s were attracted to its virgin forests and the rich mineral content of the ground. That untouched beauty remains only in a few unique areas left over from bygone days. Paint River Hills is truly one of those areas.

The highlight of Paint River Hills Campground is its hiking trail along the Paint River. The loop trail, about half-mile long, winds through and around the rock bluffs and hills that form the banks of the Paint River and for years has been the playground of local youngsters. The name “Paint River Hills” is the term used by locals to describe the location of the campground. Youngsters have named other areas such as Peeper Hollow, Big Rock Candy Mountain, White Pine Lookout, Fairy Tale Swamp, Rock Fort, Thistle Swamp and Camel Back Lookout.
