You'll need more than a day to explore everything Little Pine Lake has to offer, you can camp at Loon Lake Camp Grounds, and if you come at the right time of year, Duncan Creek offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Little Pine Lake is right by       the Hickory Ridge Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Chetek; there are some glorious whitewater spots on Chippewa River. From a rain point of view Little Pine Lake is a rather typical place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Throughout the summer here at Little Pine Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's; the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, usually                  in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Little Pine Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Glen Loch Motel is a good choice; hiking along the Deer Fly Trail is delightful fun. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Little Pine Lake has it all. Head up to Christie Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and not far from Little Pine Lake you'll locate Axhandle Lake which is a pretty lake. Lakes are brilliant; Silver Lake is a lake that's close to Little Pine Lake; the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail offers hiking at its best.   Super 8 Chetek, Chetek 12 miles away Beautiful Pride of Super 8 facility on a hillside overlooking the Chetek River.
