If you like the outdoors, you'll adore Little Island Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pike River. This lake is so wonderful. Norway Mountain is a tremendous local ski area, and Amberg Campgrounds and Bar is a nice local campground. Through the warm days of summer here at Little Island Lake, high temperatures generally reach the       80's, and the night is fairly chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Little Island Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western Crivitz Lodge is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and Little Island Lake is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Shakey Lakes Park is a glorious place to camp nearby. Little Island Lake gets a normal amount                  of rainfall; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. A glorious close by hotel is Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI; Cedar Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by.
