This lake is so wonderful. Big Butternut Lake is a nice lake near Little Butternut Lake; Trollhaugen is a very popular ski area close by. Golf can be played at Luck Golf Course, and Little Butternut Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Lakeview Park and Campground is a magnificent local       campground. From a precipitation point of view Little Butternut Lake is a rather typical spot; the wettest month of the year is commonly June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is February. Head up to Wild Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; glide down the rapids of Apple River in a kayak. Through the days of summer here at Little Butternut Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges                  down to the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 10's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Little Butternut Lake plunge into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST. CROIX VALLEY; a nice site to camp here at Little Butternut Lake is Birchwood Beach Campgrounds. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Little Butternut Lake.
