What would winter be without some skiing at Christie Mountain, and lakes are such calm spots, why not explore Rock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some friendly folks from Eau Claire here, and going for a hike on the Hickory Ridge Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful.       A good close by hotel is Super 8 Chetek. For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Little Bear Lake reach the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Little Bear Lake are in the-10's. So many cool things to do here at Little Bear Lake, too glorious to be true. A great location to camp here at Little Bear Lake is Lured In Lodge & Campground;                  nearby you come across the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chippewa River, and after a long day outdoors Glen Loch Motel is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Little Bear Lake is a good site of normal precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
