The amount of rainfall that falls at Leech Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. All the outdoors exciting things in close proximity to Leech Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. If you like skiing, you're       in luck; Christmas Mountain is next to Leech Lake, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Skillet Creek. If you came to camp Fox Hill Campgrounds is a glorious spot to do that, and there are plenty of people from Baraboo here at Leech Lake. Having a magnificent time at Leech Lake is simple. The snow is brilliant at Devils Head. A nice close by hotel is Americas Best Value/Campus Inn; do take a hike on the Bluff Trail.                  You're perhaps interested in lakes, 572 Reservoir is one of those close by, and Leech Lake lays in the shadow of the North Range. Summertime highs at Leech Lake generally tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Leech Lake. A perfect view of lovely North Range is available from Leech Lake, and Baraboo Country Club is a magnificent golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. This is a perfect neighborhood for folks who like lakes. 583 Reservoir is a lake around here; after a long day outdoors Best Western Baraboo Inn is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
