Camping is available at Perch Lake Campground, and there are plenty of people from Iron Mountain here at Kieper Lake. Kieper Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. So much cool stuff to do at Kieper Lake, so little time. Good hiking is available along the Dendro Eco Trail, and great skiing awaits you at Ski Brule. Don't leave Kieper Lake without first going

All through the days of summer here at Kieper Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. whitewater spots on Pine River. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a wonderful choice; there are other places here than Kieper Lake, for example Dorothy Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but
if it's for you then we recommend Pine River; not far from Kieper Lake you'll come across Savage Lake which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Brule Mountain, and if you came for an overnight stay Lauterman Lake Walk-In Campground is a good site to camp.

The highlight of Paint River Hills Campground is its hiking trail along the Paint River. The loop trail, about half-mile long, winds through and around the rock bluffs and hills that form the banks of the Paint River and for years has been the playground of local youngsters. The name “Paint River Hills” is the term used by locals to describe the location of the campground. Youngsters have named other areas such as Peeper Hollow, Big Rock Candy Mountain, White Pine Lookout, Fairy Tale Swamp, Rock Fort, Thistle Swamp and Camel Back Lookout.
