A visit to Keyes Lake is always a good idea. Budget Host Inn Iron Mountain is a good spot to get some rest, and you'll stumble on a delightful lake called Bessie Babbet Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great site to camp here at Keyes Lake is Golden Eagle Park and Campground, and a good close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites IRON MOUNTAIN. Do stop at Paint River Pond near Keyes Lake, it's a pretty lake.

At Keyes Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Keyes Lake. The Lauterman Trail is a glorious hiking trail right next door to Keyes Lake, and get your heart beating on the
tremendous whitewater of Pine River. During your tour to Keyes Lake you'll meet some folks from Iron Mountain for sure; a great site for whitewater paddling is Paint River.
