Whitewater paddling is great on Flambeau River - South Fork; hey, Gotta ski right? Whitecap Mountain is a good place to do that. Keough Lake is a good spot of common rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February. You clearly must adore Keough Lake. | | need more than a day to discover everything Keough Lake has to offer, you can camp at Fishtrap Campground. The warmest time of the year at Keough Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Keough Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Turtle River is so much fun, and going for a hike on the Newman Springs Ski Trail is always a magnificent adventure.
