Lower Tamarack River is a magnificent whitewater spot right next door to Kapes Lake; dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Crooked Lake. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Kapes Lake called the Markville Snowmobile Trail, and in
all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Knapp Flowage 7 is just a very short distance away.
This lake is so wonderful. Near Kapes Lake you find the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail which is a good hiking
trail; camping is available at Winberg's Resort and Campground. A golf course right next door to Kapes Lake is Siren Glen Golf Club.
