Kapes Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Not far from Kapes Lake, you'll locate Clear Lake which is a pretty lake; going for a hike on the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Crooked Lake; get dripping wet paddling on Upper Tamarack River. | | of the year is February. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Larson Lake. Camping is available at Winberg's Resort and Campground, and Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a magnificent place to get some rest. All through the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Kapes Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's.
