If you like skiing, you're in luck; Christie Mountain is near Jim Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Glen Loch Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Boot Lake; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Lake Wissota Golf Course is nearby. This lake is so wonderful.       There's magnificent hiking along the Hickory Ridge Trail, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Chippewa River. The O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Jim Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Wissota State Park is a great site for that. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Jim Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration                  of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Jim Lake are in the 0's.
