Our swimming lake... Our summer staff... ...r. During the summer we hire about 30 staff to run our program. Facilities There are 27 buildings on the camp grounds. Nine cabins are used year-round and sleep about 10 people each. Nine additional cabins are available for summer use and sleep 10 people each. Our most functional and widely used building is our dining hall which can seat 175 people. Our chapel is uniquely located in the loft of a barn and can also seat 175 people. We have 3 sports fields available for games, a one acre spring-fed swimming lake, a 5 acre fishing/boating lake, a rifle and archery range, basketball/volleyball courts and 3½ miles of beautifully groomed walking and Cross-country trails. Program Each day of summer camp we have two morning Bible sessions and an evening Bible chapel. We offer skill times for youth to enjoy archery, riflery, boating, fishing, and crafts. We have a one-hour equestrian program where campers enjoy riding horses on the trails of a local stable. For Junior High and Senior campers we make available the exciting game of paint ball. Nordic Mountain

With a wide assortment of gentle terrain, Nordic Mountain has taught tens of thousands of people to ski or snowboard in over 30 years of existence. Nordic Mountain offers a variety of lessons and lesson packages to help first timers, and to assist those looking to make it to the next level. Three terrain parks, with a beginner, intermediate, and expert park offer freestyle skiers and snowboarders everything they would expect in a top notch park. Goose Lake
 | 17 miles away I usually fish here at least once a year, me and some of my family go up andn stay in a family owned cabin in oxford. Every year goose lake seems to get worse and worse, the weeds are horrible. Its too bad too because during the past goose lake was a pretty decent lake to fish at without it being so weedy, there are pretty huge pike in there and decent size largemouth bass, I myself about 2-3 years ago caught a 18 inch largemouth and my cousin caught a 21 inch largie fishing off the shore with a worm and bobber. I don't enjoy using live bait, so I barely use it, I like giving myself more credit by using artificial lures hah, I enjoy actually doing all the work to catch fish. I hope someday that the people that live in adams county will start paying a little bit of money to at least keep the weeds down and from taking over the entire lake.... |
