Island Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Schillberg's Campgrounds is a tremendous local campground, and the skiing at Wild Mountain is good. So much amusing stuff in the neighborhood of Island Lake, definitely phenomenal. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Krooked Kreek Golf Course, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Trollhaugen       is relatively near. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Apple River. Island Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Island Lake all through the warm months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Island Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout                  winter nights. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites St. Croix Valley, Wi is a fine choice, and unsurprisingly, this is a brilliant neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Pleasant Lake is a lake nearby. Get dripping wet paddling on St. Croix River, and a great site to camp here at Island Lake is Wildwood Park Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful.
