The skiing at Norway Mountain is great; Island Lake is magnificent enough       to spend more than a day at, Shakey Lakes Park is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Best Western Crivitz Lodge is a great choice, and Island Lake is not the only site nearby, Birch Lake is a nearby lake. If you're visiting Island Lake from Marinette, you won't be the only one, of course you could also have a look at Cedar Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. At Island Lake through the summer months                  highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
