You don’t have to go far from Island Lake to catch a glimpse of the water at Smith G1997.5 Dam, and paddling on Eau Claire River is so much fun. Any time is a nice time at Island Lake if you like the outdoors. Drift down the rapids of Bois Brule River in a kayak; you'll hit upon a delightful lake called Bass Lake. During the warm days of summer here at Island Lake, high temperatures generally       reach the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Island Lake temperatures sink to the-10's. If you came to camp Swansons Motel and Campground is a pleasant place to do that, and obviously Catlin Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting. Superior Super 8 Motel is a delightful site to get some rest; do have a look                  at Muskrat Lake, it's a wonderful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Island Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Wasko's Lakeshore Camp is a pleasant local campground; playing golf is lots of fun at Hidden North Golf Course.
