Our summer staff...
...for summer use and sleep 10 people each. Our most functional and widely used building is our dining hall which can seat 175 people. Our chapel is uniquely located in the loft of a barn and can also seat 175 people. We have 3 sports fields available for games, a one acre spring-fed swimming lake, a 5 acre fishing/boating lake, a rifle and archery range, basketball/volleyball courts and 3½ miles of beautifully groomed walking and Cross-country trails.
Program Each day of summer camp we have two morning Bible sessions and an evening Bible chapel. We offer skill times for youth to enjoy archery, riflery, boating, fishing, and crafts. We have a one-hour equestrian program where campers enjoy riding horses on the trails of a local stable. For Junior High and Senior campers we make available the exciting game of paint ball. We also offer tubing down the Mecan River for our Senior High and Family campers.
Other Unique Features
Camp Fairwood has several mature pine plantations that provide a unique atmosphere. Trees are harvested about every 8 years.

Nordic Mountain can make snow on 100% of its terrain including the tubing park. With the improvements in snowmaking technology, they can produce higher quality snow and do so in warmer temperatures. In the past few years Nordic Mountain has more than doubled its snowmaking capacity. The goal is to open earlier, close later, and remain open on marginal winter days. One of the biggest projects to improve snowmaking at Nordic Mountain will serve a dual purpose. The addition of a 10 million gallon snowmaking pond will not only supply more cold water for snowmaking, but in the summer of 2009 is scheduled to be made into the second wakeboard winch park in the country.
Nordic Mountain has always been considered a great place to learn. It is known as a great family hill at a very affordable price. That tradition continues while changes like improved terrain parks and new glade trails help to keep the skiers and snowboarders coming back.
