If you are in this part of Wisconsin make sure to pay a visit to Hunters Lake. Paddling on White River is so much fun, and Alpine Valley has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. Playing golf is lots of fun at Kettle Moraine Golf Club; there's always Bischel Dam to pop by close to Hunters Lake. What a place this is for outdoors people. Pewaukee River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby; Pine woods Campground is a delightful local campground.

| | You'll meet a lot of folks from Whitewater here; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Highlands of Olympia. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Spring Lake. Hilton Garden Inn Oconomowoc is a perfect site to get some rest, and Ottawa Lake - South Kettle Moraine is a good campground nearby.

Lake is a lake close by; if you need a site to stay Staybridge Suites OCONOMOWOC-WI is a perfect choice. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Hunters Lake; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain;
the driest month of the year is February. Throughout the summer months at Hunters Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Hunters Lake.

A near mile Nature Trail - Past the Golf Course, through pine woods, over 'Memorial Ridge', around the spring-fed pond, up through the pine tree forest and back down past the ''Holler Pipe'' at base of dam.
