This lake is so wonderful. Near Hunter Lake you come across a golf course called Barker Lake Golf Course; whitewater paddling is tremendous on Chippewa River - East Fork. Black Lake Campground is a brilliant local campground; why not take a refreshing hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. Summertime highs at Hunter Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Throughout       the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 10's with temperatures at Hunter Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. So much enjoyable stuff near Hunter Lake, truly mind-boggling. There's great hiking along the Black Lake Trail, and after a long day outdoors Americinn Lodge Ladysmith is a great spot to spend a night or two. Get wet paddling on Chippewa River - West Fork, and Hunter                  Lake is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Wolfs Eagle Lodge Resort and Campground is a splendid site to camp nearby. Hunter Lake gets a normal amount of rain; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
