Good hiking is available along the Deer Fly Trail. There's so much to do here at Hungry Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd is a nice site for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Duncan Creek, and a great site for whitewater paddling is Chippewa River. This is a tremendous       vicinity for people who like lakes. Brush Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hungry Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lured In Lodge & Campground. At Hungry Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Hungry Lake. Hungry Lake is a place with many                  visitors from Eau Claire, and you're most likely into lakes, Potato Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Chetek is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and great skiing awaits you at Christie Mountain. There's some flowing water close by, Cedar Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here, and going for a hike on the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail is always a great adventure.
