You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the area in the vicinity of Horseshoe Lake has to offer. Super 8 Chetek is a magnificent location to get some rest; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Hickory Ridge Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Horseshoe Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down       to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Horseshoe Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. Horseshoe Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Lured In Lodge & Campground is a good local campground, and after a long day outdoors Viking Motel is a good place to spend a night or two. Hiking along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail is great fun, and a great location to camp here at Horseshoe Lake is Loon                  Lake Camp Grounds. An average amount of rainfall falls at Horseshoe Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
