Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Wolf River, and going for a hike on the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail is always a nice adventure. If you came for an overnight stay Joy Harbor Campground is a great place to camp, and there are other places here than Horseshoe Lake, for example Big Twin Lake. Be careful coming to Horseshoe Lake,       you might not ever want to return home again. This lake is so wonderful. Near Horseshoe Lake you find the Eds Lake Trail System which is a great hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. Why not camp at Rolling Stone Lake Resort while you're here at Horseshoe Lake; Lepak Cottage & Lake Home is a great location to get some rest. Horseshoe Lake is a good place of common rainfall;                  most of the rain falls during August, and the driest month of the year is February. Summertime highs at Horseshoe Lake generally tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's.
