This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant location to camp here at Horseshoe Lake is Big 6 RV Resort and Campground, and skiing at Whitecap Mountain is one of those things you just have to do. This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range. Horseshoe Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. High temperatures       at Horseshoe Lake throughout the warm days of summer are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Horseshoe Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Some of the water nearby flows, like Mud Creek, and if you need a place to stay Hurley Days Inn is a great choice. Montreal River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby; Budget Host Cloverland Motel Ironwood is a perfect site                  to get some rest. So many fun things to do at Horseshoe Lake, so little time. Going for a hike along the Newman Springs Ski Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Montreal River - West Fork. So many fun things to do in the Gogebic Range, not sufficient time. This is a glorious region for people who like lakes. Mud Lake is a lake around here. This site, the Gogebic Range, has so much outdoors fun things.
