This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Burnt Wagon Lake. Americinn - Chippewa Falls, Wi is a fine site to get some rest, and close by you find the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Going for a hike on the Deer Fly Trail is always a nice adventure, and not far       from Horseshoe Lake you'll discover Sand Lake which is a wonderful lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. A magnificent nearby hotel is Glen Loch Motel; Chippewa River is a great whitewater spot close by. The annual rainfall here at Horseshoe Lake is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Northshore Bar and Campground is a good campground nearby; in case you don’t                  have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Duncan Creek. Summertime highs at Horseshoe Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Horseshoe Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
