The sandy soil at camp makes playing field games possible even right after inclement weather. We are very thankful to the Lord that we have very few mosquitoes (relatively speaking at Camp Fairwood! Camp Fairwood is also known for its delicious food. We serve family style meals that are all you care to eat. We are located near two down hill ski resorts that make it possible for guest groups to enjoy the slopes and then return to camp to relax. |
Nordic Mountain

Nordic Mountain can make snow on 100% of its terrain including the tubing park. With the improvements in snowmaking technology, they can produce higher quality snow and do so in warmer temperatures. In the past few years Nordic Mountain has more than doubled its snowmaking capacity. The goal is to open earlier, close later, and remain open on marginal winter days. One of the biggest projects to improve snowmaking at Nordic Mountain will serve a dual purpose. The addition of a 10 million gallon snowmaking pond will not only supply more cold water for snowmaking, but in the summer of 2009 is scheduled to be made into the second wakeboard winch park in the country. Nordic Mountain has always been considered a great place to learn. It is known as a great family hill at a very affordable price.
