Be careful coming to Horsehead Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. Lakes are delightful; Little Horsehead Lake is a lake that's near Horsehead Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Indianhead. This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic       Range. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place to camp here at Horsehead Lake is Presque Isle Campground; why not take a refreshing hike along the Alligator Eye Trail. Horsehead Lake is a good place of typical rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Presque Isle; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Minocqua. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is plentiful                  here in the Gogebic Range. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Gogebic Range. Camping at Birch Lake Resort and Campground is always a perfect experience, and paddling on Planter Creek is so much fun. At Horsehead Lake through the summer months highs are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's.
