The beauty of Horsehead Lake is reason enough to stop by. A glorious nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Minocqua, and you can go for a hike on the Bearskin State Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Pinewood Country Club; there are other spots here than Horsehead Lake, for example Beaver Lake.

choice, and there are some great whitewater spots on Wisconsin River. Horsehead Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is February.
