This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a pretty lake called Mud Lake near Horse Lake, and a good spot to camp here at Horse Lake is Wildwood Park Campgrounds. Get covered with water paddling on St. Croix River, and if you have time, Saint Croix National Scenic River is a national park worth       a visit. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Apple River; why not take a little journey to Behning Creek if you're here. So much fun stuff to do at Horse Lake, so little time. A beautiful lake like Round Lake close to Horse Lake is a glorious spot to visit; you can hit the slopes at Trollhaugen close at hand. Horse Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Schillberg's Campgrounds is a delightful local campground; next to Horse Lake you discover                  a golf course called St Croix Valley Golf Course. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Horse Lake highs are usually in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, typically in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Horse Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. Horse Lake gets a typical amount of rain; most of the rain falls throughout June, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST.
