A magnificent spot to camp here at Horn Lake is Council Grounds State Park; the slopes of Granite Peak are so inviting noone can resist. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Horn Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's while Horn Lake night low temperatures during the winter are       in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. At Horn Lake you always meet someone from Merrill, and after a long day outdoors Pine Ridge Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. Float down the rapids of Pine River in a kayak, and dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Merrill, Wi. This spot is peerless, just explore all the amusing things to do close to Horn Lake. Get covered with water paddling on Prairie River. Camping is available at Birkensee Resort; Henson                  Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit.
