From a rainfall point of view Horn Lake is a pretty normal location; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily September, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Horn Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Council Grounds State Park is a great spot to camp nearby; a good close by hotel is Pine Ridge Inn. This       lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Granite Peak is a glorious place to do that, and you'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Horseshoe Lake. High temperatures at Horn Lake during the warm months are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 10's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Horn Lake tend to be in the-10's. There's whitewater on Prairie River for all you adrenaline people; Americinn - Merrill, Wi is a fine site to get some rest. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Pine River, and you're sure to encounter some smiling folks from Merrill here.
