Drift down the rapids of Wisconsin River in a kayak, and Granite Peak is a good local ski area. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Horgen Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Horgen Lake are in the-10's. There are plenty of folks from Merrill here       at Horgen Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Pine Ridge Inn. Rodeway Inn & Suites is a good place to get some rest; since you're here you can take a hike along the Bearskin State Park Trail. Lakes are good; Thompson Lake is a lake that's close to Horgen Lake; a delightful place to camp here at Horgen Lake is Sure-wood Forest Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
