A glorious spot for whitewater paddling near Holcombe Flowage is Chippewa River, and close by you hit upon the Moonridge Trail which is a good hiking trail. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Holcombe Flowage; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Twin Oaks Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Americinn       Lodge Ladysmith is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. Going for a hike on the Hay Meadow Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and a lake nearby is Holcombe Flowage 4700. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yellow River. There's so much to do here at Holcombe Flowage that you need to camp here for a while, Little Teepee Campground is a                  delightful place for that. Holcombe Dam has delightful water scenery and it's in the vicinity of Holcombe Flowage, and Buck Creek is near Holcombe Flowage and is always a delight to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Christie Mountain is just what you need, and Holcombe Flowage is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Ward's Flambeau Resort is a fine local campground. Holcombe Flowage is a place with many visitors from Eau Claire. A brilliant close by hotel is Americinn - Ladysmith, Wi; there are glorious places to look at along the Deer Fly Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Holcombe Flowage with overnight lows in the 50's.
