Highland Park Campground is a fine campground nearby; whitewater paddling is glorious on Upper Tamarack River. Hointville Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the       year is February. At Hointville Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Hointville Lake.
