From a rainfall point of view Hilson Lake is a reasonably common place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Hilson Lake during the days of summer are in the 70's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Hilson Lake. Why not       camp at Shady Brook Campground since you're here at Hilson Lake, and since you're here, do take a trip to Guths Bay. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious site to camp here at Hilson Lake is Nordic Hills Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Wisconsin River.
