Hill Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. You're probably into lakes, Owl Lake is one of those close by; Hill Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Henry Lake Campground is a fine local campground. Turtle River is a wonderful whitewater spot near Hill Lake, and needless to say Pardee Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is plentiful here

| | in the Gogebic Range. The skiing at Big Powderhorn Mountain is good, and naturally, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Spinnet Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Gogebic Range. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Indianhead is near Hill Lake, and if you came to camp Big 6 RV Resort and Campground is a brilliant place to do that. average; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Hill Lake generally tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of
the winter come with highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Hill Lake are in the-10's. Hill Lake is located in the Gogebic Range. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Rainbow Falls Trail is always a great
adventure, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Ironwood, Mi is a glorious site to spend a night or two. But wait, there's more to do close to Hill Lake. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black River, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Ironwood is a wonderful choice.

Armour Lake
 | 17 miles away My aunt and uncle, Della and Deac Vilutis, owned the resort in the 50's and early 60's. I have many memories if my dad and I fishing on all those lakes. It was truly a beautiful area to grow up in....The lake is spring fed and is connected to Horsehead lake via river and also to North Crab lake and Crab lake. Walleye, large mouth bass, Muskellunge, Northern Pike and sunfish are native to this lake. The lake is 355 acres which host Bill's Island, a public campground that is accessable via boat/canoe. There is one state owned access to this lake on the north side. Many years ago, Armour Lake Resort had been built by my great, great uncle and then owned in the early 40's by my parents who are now both deceased. The resort has since been purchased as a private residence. As a child growing up we have some wonderful memories about this beautiful, spring fed lake. I miss it.... |
