Summertime at Highland Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Highland Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Northshore Bar       and Campground if you're here at Highland Lake. Whitewater paddling is good on Duncan Creek; if you need a place to stay Glen Loch Motel is a tremendous choice. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff close to Highland Lake. Hiking along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail is pleasant fun; Americinn - Chippewa Falls, Wi is a wonderful place to get some rest. Very gorgeous scenery and great skiing is what you get at Christie Mountain; while you're here you                  can take a hike along the Deer Fly Trail. The annual precipitation here at Highland Lake is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Chippewa River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by, and a lake close by is Little Plummer Lake.
