Devil's River Campers Park
We seasonal camped there everyday last summer and found it to be an excellent family destination! great management, great people, virtually no problems whatso-ever with loud partiers. awesome waterfalls and a running river the kids can wade in, nice clean pool and free hot showers!...
Engledinger Lake
tried our luck at fishing there. I would describe it as POOR at best. We only caught one little blue gill and it was a nightmare trying to launch our small boat!!!!...
Baird Creek
11 miles away I am the past president of the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation and I am also an experienced paddler. I comfortably do Class 4 water and I have done some Class 5. I am not sure if I would recommend that section of Baird Creek for anyone. There is only enough water during extreme flood situations. Most years there is no single flood event that would bring Baird Creek up to paddleable levels. There are a tremendous number of logs and entire trees across the creek. During flood situations the potential to get pinned against or under deadfalls would be very high....
Hidden Valley
14 miles away I haven't gone skiing here in years but I remember we used to have lots of winter fun here back in the old days....
