Hewitt Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Hewitt Lake is one of the lakes here in the Gogebic Range. The skiing at Big Powderhorn Mountain is good; if you've had enough of Hewitt Lake, Spinnet Lake is close by. At Hewitt Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's; overnight lows all through the

| | wintertime for Hewitt Lake tend to be in the-10's.
All year is a wonderful time in the Gogebic Range if you fancy the outdoors. If you came to camp Henry Lake Campground is a fine site to do that; don't leave Hewitt Lake without first going for a hike along the Rainbow Falls Trail. Hewitt Lake is a good site of normal rainfall; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful.

A day on the slopes of Indianhead is just what you need; if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Turtle River. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling
near Hewitt Lake is Black River, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Ironwood. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the area in the vicinity of Hewitt Lake has to offer. There's so much to do here at Hewitt
Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big 6 RV Resort and Campground is a great spot for that, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Otter Lake is just a very short distance away.
So much fun stuff
to do here in the Gogebic Range, too wonderful to be true. Don't forget to take a good little trip to Mosinee Creek, and Americinn - Ironwood, Mi is a fine place to get some rest.
