Lakes are such peaceful places, why not visit Pickerel Lake next to Heron Lake, and Badger Bay is in close proximity and always great to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop by nearby Benson Creek if you're here at Heron Lake. Flat Creek Inn and Suites is a great spot to get some rest, and T.P. Resort and Campground is a wonderful       campground nearby. During the summer highs here at Heron Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows through the winter for Heron Lake tend to be in the-10's. Hiking along the Serley Camp Trail is nice fun, and if you come at the right time of year, Namekagon River offers some good whitewater. An average amount of rainfall falls at Heron Lake; August is when                  you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Northern Pine Inn is a glorious choice, and hey, Gotta ski right? Christie Mountain is a great site to do that. But wait, there's more to do near Heron Lake.
