Summertime at Heisel Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Heisel Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Thunder River. There's so much to do here at Heisel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Timberline Resort and Campground is a good place for       that. A beautiful lake like Bahlert Lake in close proximity to Heisel Lake is a wonderful place to stop at; golf can be played at Parkway Golf Course. The annual precipitation here at Heisel Lake is about average; September is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Heisel Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything                  Heisel Lake has to offer, you can camp at Marty and June Katzka, and a nice close by hotel is Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI. This lake is so wonderful.
