I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Heisel Lake. A splendid close by hotel is Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Peshtigo River for all you adrenaline people, and a wonderful site to camp here at Heisel Lake is Timberline Resort and       Campground. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Parkway Golf Course, and Heisel Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Marty and June Katzka is a great local campground. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Thunder River, and a gorgeous lake like Bahlert Lake is a good location to stop by. From a rain point of view Heisel Lake is a relatively common spot; the month with most of the rain is September while February                  is regularly the driest month. For the period of the warm months highs here at Heisel Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
