This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Hat Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Merrill, Wi. An average amount of rainfall falls at Heart Lake; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February.       Heart Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Council Grounds State Park is a good local campground. Lakes? Sure, Tug Lake is in the neighborhood. Just can't get enough of Heart Lake.
