Hayward Lake is a nice lake to visit. Dry warm beds await you at Flat Creek Inn and Suites; if you come at the right time of year, Namekagon River offers some fine whitewater. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Hayward Lake; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February.

For you golfers we recommend close by Roynona Creek Golf Course; Hayward Lake is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Sunrise Bay Campground is a splendid location to camp nearby. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Totogatic River; if you need a place to stay Hayward Super 8 Motel is a glorious choice.

Hayward Lake temperatures drop to the-10's. You don’t have to go far from Hayward Lake to distinguish the water at Hayward WP119 Dam, and the Pigeon Lake Trail offers hiking at its best.
